About Mary Lou

Mary Lou Tierney is a bridge builder and transformation expert who combines her unique experience as an elite tennis chair umpire and corporate change leader to help teams achieve both excellence and joy at work. With a master’s degree from Georgia Tech and certification as a Board-Certified Health Coach, she brings a holistic approach to psychological safety and team dynamics.

Her book, “The 6 Social Skills for Psychological Safety & Joy at Work,” draws from her experience officiating Grand Slam tennis matches and leading enterprise-wide transformations to provide practical strategies for creating high-performing, psychologically safe teams.
